Join multi-book author Vikki Carrel and University of Utah graduate student Ben Hopes for a three-day interactive reading and writing camp.

Engage in reading! Vikki and Ben will introduce skills and strategies to help improve reading comprehension and fluency. They will use a mix of interactive lessons and fun instructional games to build strong reading skills.
Word sorts
Understand the eight parts of speech: nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives,
adverbs, conjunctions, prepositions, and interjections.
Read, think, and retain exercises
QARs (question and answer relationships)
Explore writing! Students will explore the multi-dimensional writing process while learning the fundamentals of organizing a creative, informational, and argumentative essay. Vikki and Ben will offer an in-depth, hands-on writing experience for each student helping them to improve their skills and discover their personal writing strengths.
