Social Media Is Linked To Mental Distress In Teens

More research is confirming what many parents have long feared; social media is causing mental distress. 

A new study done by the Canadian Medical Association Journal has revealed that social media usage in teens is linked to an increase in depression, self-harm and suicide in youth.  As little as ten minutes per day can cause a negative effect on teens brain functionality, especially girls.

The alarming new study also points out that easy access to information in ways to commit suicide and self harm is also contributing to the issue.
